Institutional drains & sewers

Know what’s in your institutional pipes

For institutional buildings — colleges, schools, hospitals and government — a hidden blockage is a business risk, not just a plumbing problem. Our high-resolution camera crawls your drains and sewer lines and records the whole run, so you and your team can see exactly what’s building up before it backs up.

When the camera finds grease, roots, scale or a partial collapse, our high-pressure jetting nozzle clears it and we re-run the camera to prove the line is clean — with footage and a written report you can hand to whoever signs off on the building.

Watch it happen

From clogged to clear — on camera

A real blocked sewer line cleared with a high-pressure jetting nozzle and verified with an in-pipe camera — the same process we document for institutional buildings.

  • Camera locates the blockage
  • Jetting nozzle scrubs the pipe wall clean
  • Second camera pass confirms it’s clear
  • You get footage + a report

Questions

Institutional inspection FAQ

What is a drain camera inspection?

We feed a high-resolution, waterproof, self-levelling camera through your drains and sewer lines and record the entire run on video. It shows the real condition inside the pipe — grease, roots, scale, cracks, sags and blockages — and locates each problem precisely, so any work is targeted instead of guesswork.

How does high-pressure jetting work — will it damage my pipes?

A jetting nozzle sends water through the line at high pressure: forward jets cut through the blockage while reverse jets scrub the full pipe wall clean. The pressure and nozzle are matched to the pipe based on what the camera shows first, so it clears grease, sludge, scale and roots without harming sound pipe — and we re-run the camera afterward to confirm.

What is the Annual Inspection Program?

It’s a scheduled camera inspection of your building’s drains and sewer lines once a year, with a documented report each time. Members also receive preferred-customer treatment — priority scheduling, locked-in pricing and front-of-line response for all their plumbing and mechanical needs.

What does “preferred treatment” actually mean?

Program members go to the front of the line. When you call with a backup or need mechanical work, members are scheduled first, at agreed member rates, and we arrive already knowing your system because we have your pipes on file.

Who do you serve?

Commercial, industrial, institutional and residential properties — strata and condo buildings, malls and retail, colleges and schools, hospitals and care homes, hotels, restaurants, warehouses, manufacturing plants and property-management portfolios across the region.

Do I get the footage and a report?

Yes. Every inspection comes with recorded video and a clear written summary you can hand to your strata council, property manager, board or owner as documented proof of condition.

How often should pipes be inspected?

For most commercial, institutional and multi-unit residential buildings, once a year is the sweet spot — often enough to catch grease, roots and scale before they cause a failure, without over-servicing. High-volume kitchens or known problem lines may warrant twice a year.
